Dear Senior Advocate,

Katherine Krause and Cortney Nicolato

Yesterday was an impactful starting point to building a better system of care to support the unique needs of older adults in North Texas and for creating a community culture which values aging with dignity. Thank you to those who joined us for the Leadership Briefing and The State of Seniors Action Planning event. Our report discussed yesterday is available here. We encourage you to share the report within your sphere(s) of influence to help create awareness regarding the trends in our aging population and gaps in senior resources.

Mike Rawlings, Mayor of Dallas

It is our goal to continue to convene community leaders, elected officials, funders, and senior advocates to develop an Action Plan for aging well in North Texas. The summit yesterday morning was a great start and we are thrilled with the ideas shared amongst the groups. We ask you to continue your advocacy by joining an Action Team to support these efforts and be part of a larger movement. Sign up here to serve on a specific Action Area Team and share your passion and expertise with others creating a unified voice for elevating care and expanding services for older adults in North Texas. A special thank you to Mayor Rawlings, Judge Jenkins, Sonia Azad and Nicole Small for your valuable contributions to the event and commitment to furthering our efforts.

Thank you for your time and commitment to older adults in North Texas. #NTX4Seniors

Sincerely,
