In March 2002, Raymond Huffer walked into the VNA office and asked to talk with someone about an estate gift to VNA Meals on Wheels. Mr. Huffer explained to the President of VNA and the Chief Financial Officer that he was putting “his affairs in order” and wished to designate VNA Meals on Wheels as a beneficiary of his estate. Six years later, Mr. Huffer’s estate provided a very generous gift to help VNA continue its mission “To feed the hungry.” Mr. Huffer’s generosity assists us to deliver every weekday a warm, nutritious meal to hungry, sick or disabled men and women in need of our help.
