Executive Team

Robert P. Carpenter, President and CEO

Mr. Carpenter joined The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas in July 1998 as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Before coming to VNA Mr. Carpenter served as Director for Fiscal Affairs for the Texas National Research Laboratory Commission Superconducting Super Collider project. Previously he held the position of Controller and Acting CFO for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Mr. Carpenter holds B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Michigan State University. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1975, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in 1998 and a Certified Home Care and Hospice Executive in 2002. Mr. Carpenter was promoted to VNA President and CEO in January 2003.
 

Nancy Crowe, Vice President Marketing and Therapy Services

Nancy Crowe, MS, PT joined VNA in 2004 and was named Director of Therapy Services.  In 2007, Ms. Crowe was promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Therapy Services.  Prior to joining VNA, Ms. Crowe was an Independent Rehabilitation Consultant for a major Houston hospital.  Other prior positions and responsibilities included Vice President of Operations for a 5-state region for RehabCare Group, where she directed clinical operations for over 200 employees, Regional Director for the Outpatient Division of RehabCare Group, and Director of Physical Therapy at Doctors Hospital of Dallas.  Ms. Crowe graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas Woman’s University in 1981 with a BS in Physical Therapy, and earned her Master of Science degree in 1989.

 
Kathleen Gigl, Vice President, Development

Kathleen Gigl joined VNA of Texas in 2004 as Vice President, Development. After moving to Texas from Wisconsin in 1984, Ms. Gigl joined Southern Methodist University as Director of External Affairs for Dedman College. She served for more than ten years as Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Texas Woman’s University and as Director of Major Gifts at Austin College. Ms. Gigl was elected for two terms as Trustee for the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, an international member association of more than 3,000 advancement professionals in education. She chaired its Commission on Philanthropy for five years. Ms. Gigl received her B.S. in 1966 from Alverno College, Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
 

Lynn Gill, RN, CHCE, Vice President, Hospice and Home Care

Lynn Gill, R.N., C.H.C.E., joined VNA as Vice President of Hospice and Home Care in November 2006. Ms. Gill came to VNA from Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, where she has served as Director of Home Health since 1996. Her responsibilities there included clinical and administrative operations of their home health division. Among Ms. Gill's many notable achievements at Presbyterian was developing a successful managed care model that yielded sound fiscal results. Her efforts also produced high patient satisfaction ratings and quality outcomes for their home health services.

Prior to working at Presbyterian, she opened and managed home health offices for all hospitals in the Baylor Healthcare System from 1988 to 1996. Ms. Gill is a Certified Home Care Executive.

 
Carlton Holland, Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Holland joined VNA as Controller in September 2002 and was promoted to his present position in April 2003. He came to VNA with twenty years of experience in accounting, including twelve years with health care organizations. Mr. Holland obtained a B.B.A. from Texas A & M University and an M.B.A. from St. Mary’s University. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1987.
 
Linda M. Mason, Vice President, Long Term Care

Ms. Mason has been on the VNA of Texas staff since 1992 when she joined VNA as Director of Risk Management. She was promoted to the position of Director of Risk and Quality Management and CLASS Program Manager in 1996, then to her current position in 1997. Ms. Mason holds a Bachelor of Science and Nursing degree from Albany State College and is a Registered Nurse. She has completed the Health Care Risk Management Certification program of the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management of the American Hospital Association.
 

Barbara Muntz, RN, Vice President, People & Organizational Effectiveness

Barbara Muntz, R.N., came to the VNA in 2007 and assumed her current role as Vice President of People and Organizational Effectiveness in January, 2008. Ms. Muntz earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Additionally, she holds a Master of Theology from Brite Divinity School. After over 10 years of home care and hospice clinical practice, Ms. Muntz worked in a variety of healthcare quality roles in both acute care and home health settings. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Performance Improvement for Texas Health Resources, a multi-hospital integrated health care system headquartered in Arlington, Texas.

 
Tom Ricciardelli, Vice President, General Counsel

Mr. Ricciardelli has managed legal affairs for The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas since 1980. He earned his M.B.A. at the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration in 1972 and his J.D. from the Boston College Law School in 1979. Mr. Ricciardelli is licensed as an attorney and counselor at law in the State of Texas.
