I need hospice help to deal with a terminal illness.

There may come a time in life when you or a loved one faces health conditions or diseases that limit quality of life. In the case of a terminal illness, a physician may recommend hospice care if treatment is no longer beneficial or recommended.

There are three basic steps to VNA Hospice.

  1. Talk with your loved ones about hospice care, as the patient and the physician must agree that the time has arrived for comfort, pain control and dignity rather than extraordinary treatment - when recovery is not an option.
  2. If you choose VNA Hospice, let your physician know that you request VNA for your hospice provider. You have the right, by law, to choose your hospice care giver and VNA will provide the quality of care that you know you can trust.
  3. Your physician will write an order for hospice care and have his office or the hospital call VNA. A VNA Hospice specialist will visit you and your family in the hospital or at home to talk about hospice services. This is an opportunity to ask all your questions about VNA Hospice.
