Slated to open in 2008, the Patrick and Beatrice Haggerty Center for VNA will be constructed along one of Dallas’ major thoroughfares -- Mockingbird Lane -- a gateway to the Stemmons Corridor, the future Dallas design center, Trinity Parkway, and Love Field.
The Center includes offices, meeting and training rooms, and the Beatrice M. Haggerty Kitchen. Hundreds of volunteers annually from throughout Dallas County and surrounding counties will visit for training and activities. These volunteers will be equipped with the tools needed to reach out and help our ever-growing elderly population in Dallas County.
VNA’s Beatrice M. Haggerty Kitchen for Meals on Wheels will increase production capacity to 14,000 meals a day in the new building. The United Way of Metropolitan Dallas’ 2005 Community Assessment projects that the demand for home-delivered meals program will increase over the next 10 - 20 years. VNA is taking the necessary steps to plan for this future demand.
