VNA Eldercare Friends
In days gone by, generations of families lived within the same small communities where parents were cared for by their adult children. Today, nearly everyone under retirement age works and jobs often separate the generations by many miles.
When elders need help to maintain their independence, VNA Eldercare Friends volunteers can provide escorted transportation for shopping and other errands, home safety awareness and companionship. In 2008, 196 clients received 42,252 volunteer hours of services.
