For more than a decade, at least two generations of Red Tailed Hawks have nested and raised their annual broods on the southwest corner ledge of VNA’s Dallas headquarters building at 1600 Viceroy Drive. In 2008, the first egg of three was laid on February 22, and six weeks later on April 2 the first chick hatched. Hawk chicks grow fast and typically launch on their first flight at six weeks of age.
