Volunteer Opportunities

"Caring for People is a VNA Tradition"

Volunteers were the moving force who started the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) in 1934, serving home care needs of the community. Today, more than 5,500 VNA volunteers - from all walks of life - find deep personal satisfaction in making the lives of others more comfortable by giving of themselves.

Through VNA, there are as many different ways to give time as there are people in need. No other experience in life gives back so much caring and sharing for so little effort.

When you volunteer, we think you’ll agree.

VNA’s mission as it relates to volunteers: to provide them with meaningful opportunities to make a difference and to recognize the special contributions they bring to the organization and the community.

For more information, contact VNA Director of Volunteers at (214) 689-2210 or coxbe@vnatexas.org

“I have always been so convinced of the worthwhile contribution that the VNA makes to the community. Over the years, when there’s been a void in the community, VNA has filled that void with needed home health care services.”
-- Beatrice M. Haggerty, (in memory)
