Update Your Estate Plans!
|
Estate planning can be confusing, stressful and just plain intimidating. However, when you focus on the legacy you want to leave—the goals, needs and dreams you have for your family and VNA—your decisions get a lot easier. We’re here to help you explore the estate planning tools you need to ensure a lasting legacy for you, your family and the causes you care about. You can begin by downloading our FREE Personal Estate Planning Kit.
Traditionally, creating a will can be expensive and time consuming. To help with this challenge, VNA is pleased to offer our supporters free access to Giving Docs. Here you can easily create your will and other estate planning documents in just a few minutes. You are not required to leave a gift to create a will. This is our gift to you.

A Message From Katherine Krause
A Tradition of Care You Can Trust ™
|
The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) has been a trusted, innovative, and compassionate community-based organization since 1934. Amidst the Great Depression, Sadie Lefkowitz chartered VNA as a nonprofit to address the urgent need for home health care. Nurses led by Lillian Beckett, a Dallas public school nurse, donated their time and expertise to provide desperately needed care for the sick, elderly and new mothers in the poorest sections of Dallas.
In 1973, the Women’s Council of Dallas entrusted VNA with the operational management of the Meals on Wheels program in Dallas County. What began as a home-delivered meal program delivering to 125 homebound clients is now one of the largest Meals on Wheels programs in the country, preparing more than 6,000 meals each weekday which are distributed to 4,500 homebound seniors and 1,500 seniors at congregate feeding sites. Look for ways you can help us celebrate our 50th anniversary of delivering hope to our elderly neighbors this year!
Today, VNA continues our Tradition of Care You Can Trust, by providing a continuum of care unmatched in our community—offering high-quality care to thousands of elderly, hungry, frail, sick and disabled individuals throughout North Texas.
We could not accomplish this important work without the steadfast support of our community giving time, talent and treasure to help people live with dignity and independence at home. You can learn more about our important work here. Thank you for your continued commitment to VNA in 2023!
