Meeting You Where You Are
|
November is National Hospice and Palliative Care month and an opportunity to shine a light on the important and compassionate work of our clinical team here at the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA). We understand that living with a serious illness doesn’t come with a set of instructions. We are here to help patients, caregivers, and loved ones map out care goals unique to each patient. Our care teams work directly with patients, current physicians, and caregivers to provide guidance, comfort, dignity, and support through person-centered care.
You can learn more about what to expect from our Hospice Care program here.

Light Up a Life this Holiday Season
|
To help honor our loved ones’ memories or those who have made a positive impact, VNA offers a way to pay tribute on the Light Up a Life Holiday Tree.
With a suggested gift of $10 or more, a personalized dove with the name of each life you wish to honor or remember will be placed on one of the community trees. For a donation of $100 or more, you may choose to have an engraved crystal dove ornament mailed to your home. Orders for crystal ornaments must be received no later than Friday, November 18.
Your gift to the annual Light Up a Life program for VNA Hospice Care will ensure VNA can continue to provide compassionate end-of-life care for patients, caregivers and loved ones no matter their ability to pay. Purchase your dove(s) today at www.vnatexas.org/lightupalife.

A Message From Katherine Krause
|
For those living with serious illness and for those caring for loved ones, getting the help you need can be challenging. At the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA), we understand the complexities of managing symptoms and navigating care, which is why our Supportive Palliative Care program, VNA Care Choices, is such an important part of our mission. VNA’s goal is to provide the highest quality of life possible through services like medication review Advanced Care Planning, pain and symptom management, care coordination with current providers, and emotional and spiritual support.
VNA Care Choices provides this in-home support as patients continue to receive treatments from current physicians. If you’d like to learn more or schedule a call with our team, please visit our Supportive Palliative Care page or email gethelp@vnatexas.org.
