12th Annual MLK Day Delivery Was a Huge Success!

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated had its humble beginnings as the vision of nine college students on the campus of Howard University in 1908.  Since then, the sorority has flourished into a globally impactful organization of nearly 300,000 college-trained members, bound by the bonds of sisterhood and empowered by a commitment to servant-leadership that is both domestic and international in its scope.

On January 17th, 36 members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Omicron Mu Omega Chapter, delivered 370 meals to our homebound seniors in Bachman Lake, Carrollton, Cedar Hill, Desoto, Duncanville, Garland, Glenn Heights, Grand Prairie, Lancaster, Mesquite, Richardson, South Dallas, Southeast Oak Cliff, and West Dallas as part of our annual MLK Day of Service delivery event.

All told, VNA volunteers delivered more than 4,000 meals to our homebound seniors on MLK Day!
