VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION OF TEXAS EXPANDS HOSPICE PRESENCE IN NORTH TEXAS THROUGH DEEPENED PARTNERSHIP WITH FOREFRONT LIVING

The Visiting Nurse Association of Texas (VNA) is expanding its footprint in North Texas through a strengthened partnership with Forefront Living, further increasing access to high-quality, nonprofit hospice care across North Texas.

Established in 1934, VNA is a trusted nonprofit healthcare provider with a long history of serving North Texas families. The organization began partnering with Forefront Living in 2025, and over the past year, this relationship has grown, rooted in shared values and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Faith Presbyterian Hospice will begin winding down its operations and VNA will be available to take care of both hospice and palliative care patients across the 16 counties VNA serves. As Forefront Living’s preferred hospice partner, VNA has entered into a lease with Forefront Living to provide Inpatient Hospice Services on the T. Boone Pickens Campus, reopening under VNA’s leadership in early summer.

VNA will be the exclusive provider of hospice services on the T. Boone Pickens campus. Forefront Living will continue to provide support to VNA patients with the “Faith Difference” which includes bereavement support, Faith Kids, music therapy, massage therapy and spiritual care.

This collaboration positions VNA to become the largest nonprofit hospice provider in North Texas, reinforcing a shared commitment to serving individuals and families with dignity, compassion and integrity.

Families always have a choice in hospice providers. VNA’s care will, as always, remain patient-centered, compassionate, and coordinated to meet each individual’s needs. VNA will serve as the hospice and palliative care provider across the 16 counties VNA serves and will continue to partner with Forefront Living. In addition, VNA will be the exclusive provider of hospice services at the T. Boone Pickens Campus once inpatient services reopen under VNA’s leadership in early summer.


The inpatient hospice unit at the T. Boone Pickens Campus is temporarily closed, but it is expected to reopen in early summer, offering Inpatient Hospice Services under VNA leadership.


During the temporary closure, hospice patients who require inpatient-level care will be supported through VNA’s network of hospice-capable partner facilities across the metroplex. VNA’s care teams work closely with families to identify the most appropriate setting for each patient.
