Early Giving for North Texas Giving Day Opens August 27th!
|
We’re celebrating our 17th year participating in North Texas Giving Day! Last year, generous supporters like you helped us raise over $271,000 for our Meals on Wheels and Hospice Care programs—delivering comfort, dignity, and compassionate care to our community.
This year, we need your help to continue this vital work. Early giving opens Friday, August 27th—and you can give any time between then and North Texas Giving Day on September 17th.
Best of all, 100% of your gift goes directly to our mission. The Communities Foundation of Texas covers all processing fees throughout the campaign, ensuring every dollar you give makes a full impact.

Group Highlight of the Month
|
During the month of August, we had the pleasure of welcoming back volunteers from The Bonadio Group for their 4th Annual Day of Caring! Volunteers representing The Bonadio Group took the time to complete a day of caring by helping deliver meals and a sense of support to our Dallas County seniors.
By partnering with us, the volunteers representing The Bonadio Group were able to make a positive impact on the Dallas County community by delivering 112 meals to our clients, equal to a cost savings of $188.30. Thank you again to The Bonadio Group for your continued support, and we look forward to hosting your team again in the future!
If you and your group are interested in partnering with VNA Meals on Wheels, please contact our Corporate & Community Engagement Coordinator Ryan Jackson at ryan.jackson@vnatexas.org or (214) 689-2653.

Thank You for Making VNA Kids Camp a Summer to Remember
|
A Summer of Service and Kindness
This summer, 20 young volunteers made a meaningful difference during the 2026 VNA Meals on Wheels Kids Camp.
In August, campers ages 8 to 11 took part in a hands-on day of service and learning. Their experience included:
- Delivering hot meals to homebound seniors in Oak Cliff
- Creating kindness flowers to brighten someone’s day
- Learning how service and connection can help reduce loneliness in our community
Lasting Impact
The smiles were contagious, the conversations were meaningful, and the impact was lasting—for both our senior neighbors and the next generation of volunteers and philanthropists.
With Gratitude
We are especially grateful to Les Dames d’Escoffier Dallas Chapter for sponsoring this year’s camp, as well as to our volunteer counselors and everyone who helped make this program possible.
Thank you for helping us turn one summer day into a lifelong lesson in kindness.
We can’t wait for the 2027 VNA Kids Camp!
