Festively decorated gift bags, thoughtfully prepared by VNA volunteers, are delivered to our Meals on Wheels clients on Christmas morning alongside their hot holiday meal. This special tradition ensures every client feels remembered and celebrated during the season.
With more than 5,000 clients served each day, we need your help to make this Christmas just as meaningful. We invite volunteers and corporate partners to join us in spreading holiday cheer by creating gift bags for our clients. Let’s work together to make the season brighter for those we serve!
What to Include in Each Gift Bag
Each holiday gift bag should include the following essential items, individually gift-wrapped:
- (1) full-size tube of toothpaste
- (1) adult toothbrush
- (1) 15-ounce bottle of shampoo or lotion
- (1) bar of soap
- (1) washcloth
- (1) non-slip socks (unisex)

How to Participate
You choose how many holiday gift bags to create. Wrap each item at your home or with a group of friends or co-workers, then place them in the VNA-provided holiday gift bags. You may decorate the bags yourself or request bags already decorated by local school and community groups.
Completed bags can be dropped off at the VNA Meals on Wheels Haggerty Kitchen (1440 W. Mockingbird Ln., Dallas, TX 75247), Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
