As a Community Liaison for VNA’s hospice team, Latrice Shaw blends her passion for people with a deep commitment to meaningful care. Every day, she finds purpose in educating patients and families about the often-misunderstood benefits of hospice—helping them embrace comfort, dignity, and the power of presence during life’s most tender moments.
“For me, it’s all about helping people understand that it’s quality of life—not just quantity—that truly matters,” she says.
Latrice serves the Mansfield and Fort Worth areas, where she thrives on consistency, strong relationships, and purposeful networking. A proud Grand Prairie resident, she’s built a solid reputation as a trusted healthcare resource, known for her empathy, reliability, and solution-driven mindset. “In healthcare, you’re not just a provider—you’re a connector,” she explains. “Whether it’s a patient, family member, or fellow professional, being someone they can count on is everything.”
VNA’s mission aligns closely with Latrice’s values. “We put the patient first—always. It’s not just expected. It’s delivered.”
Latrice is a proud Texas Tech Red Raider, earning her degree in 2009 before completing a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration at the University of Texas at Arlington. Before joining VNA, she brought her talents to senior care and family medicine, always with the same core belief: people come first.
Off the clock, Latrice is just as intentional with her time. Whether she’s enjoying brunch, indulging in a little retail therapy, traveling, or watching the latest Disney movie with her 7-year-old son, Legend, she prioritizes joy, rest, and making memories.
